Because I didn't say anything in class about the websites we looked at yesterday, just wanted to say a bit about them.

I thought that AREA Chicago had a pretty decent site. It was easy to figure out what they were about and the layout was clean. I actually really liked the topics tab. I found it was a great way to find the articles I was really interested in.
One of the articles that I really enjoyed was
Sex in the Age of Environmental DisasterWords by Jeff Edwards
I loved the Stockyard Institute website. Perhaps more because I liked what they were doing than the actual layout of the site. I really enjoyed that they had media tabs and tons of videos and audio. Although, I thought the promo video was an awful representation of them. The voice, which I assumed was Jim Duignan, was extremely boring and the footage itself was unclear and didn't engage me at all. This was disappointing because I was really excited about the projects that they were doing.
I was really attracted to the Omaha Residency because this is something I've wanted to participate in or put together myself.

Museum 2.0 wow, so much text all over the place. It was too much for me to really get into and there were not enough images to really grab me but Nina's posts are great. One I was really  interested in was On White Privilege and Museums. This is an issue I've thought about a lot and the comment conversation on this post was really interesting.
